Jim Core (MA '96) was selected for the 2008 - 2009 Council for Excellence in Government Fellows program. While remaining in his current position at the Department of State, Jim will work with a cohort of professionals from across the Federal government in a year-long leadership development program. The program seeks to develop the skills of public sector professionals who are committed to improving the effectiveness of government. Jim is a member of the Board of Directors of the GW Alumni Association and resides in Kensington, MD with his wife Wendy Kabele Core (MA '94).
Craig W. Mastapeter (MA '85) is a senior planning officer with the US Department of Homeland Security's Office of Intelligence and Analysis located in Washington, D.C., completed a Master of Arts Degree in Homeland Security Studies at the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security on Dec. 19, 2008, in Monterey, CA.
Luvsantseren Orgil ( '99) was appointed as Foreign Policy Advisor to President of Mongolia on September 30, 2008.
Omar T. Woodward (BA '05) In October 2008, Omar T. Woodward took a position with the Obama campaign as Deputy Regional Field Director for Chester County, PA. Prior to this, he was working at an international grade and investment firm.
